This event marks the Tucson Juggling Club’s 4th festival! Hooray! It’s an informal 3-day event held at Catalina State Park on the north side of Tucson. Accommodations will be camping primarily, although there are some hotels relatively close by.The festival operates entirely by donation, however the park requires a small camping fee.Plenty of time to juggle, hike, juggle, eat (potluck food, but we’ve never gone hungry), and juggle some more. It’s more fun if you camp, but there are hotels nearby.
If you plan on attending it would help us greatly if you email tucsonjugglingfestival@gmail.com with an idea of how many people will be here and your estimated arrival and departure dates (from the Catalina State Park campsite).
Schedule Festival opens at 3:00 pm Potluck dinner sunset-ish to dark Saturday, March 3rd If we have enough interest, we’ll have a Renegade show at noon. Traditionally Renegade shows are at midnight, well after kids are in bed, so normally shows are rated R. Therefore, parents of kids – be prepared for R rated content. Performers – be prepared for kids. Note: if there aren’t enough folks who want to perform, we will just juggle (or eat lunch) through the noon hour. Saturday Evening about 6:30? Raffle/fund-begging (with some amazing offerings this year), pie night, potluck dinner or dinner on your own. Sunday: Games at 11:00 AM Stenciling available around this time too. (Bring a spare shirt, car, camp-stove, guitar case, etc. that you want stenciled – new design this year!) Please plan on leaving the campsite by 5:30 PM. Weather Info: Sunrise Sunset Average Temp Record Temps March 2 6:50 AM 6:23 PM 67 / 44 91 / 24 Full Moon is on March 8th. We have a collection of maps for those who want to hike. Fire danger is forecast to be high this year. We will supply firewood and kindling if the Park is allowing campfires at the time we are present. |
